DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 31.5 ounces, with a silver manufacturer logo in the center of the barrel, "LS / Powerized," and "Genuine P152 / Aristides Aquino (facsimile signature) / Cincinnati Reds" in silver lettering near the end of the barrel. Below this lettering is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker. Underside of the barrel has an MLB logo and "Prime" in silver. Barrel end tip has "04/25/19 / MLB Maple / 34.5/31.0" inscribed in the center.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Cincinnati Reds outfielder Aristides Aquino on August 10, 2019 against the Chicago Cubs. Aquino hit three home runs in that contest to give him seven home runs in his first career ten Major League games. He joined fellow rookie, Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros, as the first pair of rookies to have three-homer games on the same day. Aquino is also first rookie in Major League history to record home runs in three consecutive innings (2nd-4th), the second to record seven homers in first ten career games (joining Trevor Story in 2016), the second to record a three-home run game in his first ten career games (joining Bobby Estalella in 1997), and the second Reds rookie to hit a three-homer game (joining Joey Votto in 2008). Aquino used this bat from August 10th until August 14th when it broke in his first at-bat. He was awarded National League Player of the Week for his performance. Bat is authenticated, JD198987.
