DescriptionCatcher's mask with blue leather forehead, chin and jaw pads connected to a painted blue metal wire cage. Front of the chin pad also has this logo in white. There are springs at the center of the chin and at each temple which absorb shocks to the face. Back of the mask has a blue and white T-shaped headpiece which is held onto the mask by adjustable hook-and-loop straps. There is a white manufacturer logo on the proper right side of this headpiece. Reverse side of this back piece is covered in rubber dots to aid in gripping the head. Forehead and chin pads are also held on to the metal cage with blue hook-and-loop straps.
Bio/Historical NoteCatcher’s mask used by Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Indians on September 20, 2021, in which he hit his 46th home run of the season, setting a major league single-season record for home runs by a primary catcher.
