Josh Sborz World Series glove

DescriptionBlack and blue leather left-handed pitcher’s glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall connected by two vertical and three horizontal pieces of black leather webbing. Blue leather laces connect the tips of the finger stalls and line the top edge of the webbing. Leather laces also run vertically up the palm side of the pinky stall, thumb stall, heel of glove and along the base of the palm side of the webbing. Palm side has several metallic blue stamps including “Rawlings” along the palm and in the center of the glove. Pinky stall has “AWJ” embroidered in blue. Thumb area has “The Gold Glove Co.” embroidered in blue and an MLB logo. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened with a knotted leather lase. There is a circular red and white “R” logo at the base of the back of the thumb stall. Wrist strap has a “Rawlings” manufacturer label.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove worn by Rangers relief pitcher Josh Sborz. Sborz closed out the clinching World Series Game 5 with 2.1 scoreless innings, recording just his second career save and his first since a regular season game in 2021. He had a 0.75 ERA in the 2023 Postseason. This glove has the initials of his first three children written on it, and with a recent addition to the family his next glove will have another initial added on. Sborz threw this glove on the ground in excitement following the Series-clinching strikeout to end Game.
