DescriptionA color negative of Bob Allison dressed in a Washington Senators home uniform kneeling on grass between the sidelines and the first base line. He is kneeling on his right knee, his left arm is resting on his bent knee and both of his hands are holding a Louisville Slugger bat with the end resting in the grass. Allison is looking at the camera (not shown) and smiling. Behind him, the infield is empty and the lower and upper tiers of stadium seating have people sitting and standing along the edges closest to the field. There is bunting or pleated flags along the second tier banner. Behind the second tier seating is the press box and a flagpole. Based on Bob Allison's time with the Washington Senators and the uniform style, this image was taken in either 1959 or 1960.
