DescriptionTwo black-and-white negatives of Luis Aparicio dressed in a Chicago White Sox home uniform standing in a posed batting position. His torso is bent forward with his head turned towards the camera, looking to the right of the photographer (not shown). He also has a bat in both hands and the bat barrel is slightly above his right shoulder. Three other players can be seen in the distance along the white outfield wall. A single stadium lighting pole and floodlights stand out in the middle of the background beyond the outfield wall. There is a single advertisement on the outfield wall that reads "The Light Refreshment" with a Pepsi-Cola cap next to it. Based on Luis Aparicio's time with the Chicago White Sox, the uniform styles, the sleeve used to house the negative reads "Circa 1957" next to his name and the 7 year period that Pepsi-Cola used "The Light Refreshment" as one of their slogans [1953-1959], these images were taken between 1956 and 1959.
