Bob Feller with Bob Lemon photograph
Date1954 August
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Bob Feller with fellow pitcher Don Lemon. Feller, shown from the waist up wears a Cleveland Indians home uniform. Seated, Feller rests his left hand on his left leg and his right forearm on his right leg. Feller smiles and looks to his right at Lemon while holding a baseball in his right hand. Due to the included background and the relaxed nature of the players this photo was most probably taken in the locker room after a game. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in blue ink is a caption that reads, 1065294. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .NEW YORK BUREAU THREATENS TUTOR'S MARK CLEVELAND: TWO NAMES THAT KEEP BOBBING UP IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE PENNANT RACE, CLEVELAND'S BOB LEMON (LEFT) AND BOB FELLER (RIGHT), MAY BE WRITTEN INTO THE BOOK OF UNIQUE RECORDS BEFORE LONG.
