DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Johnny Evers, taken from the chest up, wearing a Boston Braves road uniform. The photograph was marked by previous owners most likely for publication purposes. A caption on reverse (not shown) reads, ."..is little Johnny Evers, second baseman and captain of the champion Braves. Although he was laid low with an attack of pneumonia this winter, the Little Trojan showed not effects from his sickness when he reported to Manager Stallings at Macon." Additional markings on the back (also not shown) date this photograph as April 11, 1915.
