DescriptionA black-and-white photograph containing two pictures of Johnny Evers from different eras of his life. Caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "Famed Johnny Evers Near Death. Albany, N.Y. -- Johnny Evers, former star infielder for the Chicago Cubs, was reported Mar. 27 losing his battle to stay alive in an Albany hospital. The one time middleman of the famed double play trio of "Tinker to Evers to Chance" was said to be in a 'very grave condition.'
