DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured pushing his two young daughters, Barbara Ann and Lyn, on the swing. Ott is dressed in a suit and it looking up. Barbara Ann has a large lopsided smile and older sister Lyn has a straight face. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Ott at play with children New Orleans, Dec. 27 -- Mel Ott, star outfielder of a New York Giants is shown at play at his home here with his children, Barbara Ann, one-year-old, and Lyn, 4." Based on the newspaper clipping, this photograph was taken on December 27, 1936.
