DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott of the New York Giants captured at bat. Ott is holding a baseball bat in his right hand and is looking up to follow a baseball that he had just hit. Unidentified baseball players line the sideline of the field. Behind a fence, numerous baseball fans are lined up standing to watch the baseball game. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants road uniform. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1943.
