Inaugural Interleague Game certificate of attendance

DescriptionA certificate of attendance to the inaugural interleague game at Three Rivers Stadium on September 1, 1997. The game pitted the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Cleveland Indians. The certificate is printed using gold, red, and white ink. The Pirates and Indians logos are located at the bottom of the certificate with the team managers signatures, Gene Lamont and Mike Hargrove, located just below the logos. The back side of the certificate, not shown, is blank.

Bio/Historical Note1997 was the first year that Major League Baseball instituted interleague play.
