DescriptionRectangular red cardboard box with attached lid, hinged along the top edge. Top of the lid has "Pall Mall / Famous Cigarettes," "Guelph," and "Natural Shape / Cork Tipped" in gold lettering along with two different coat-of-arms designs in both the upper left and lower right corners. Along the hinge connecting the lid to the box is a paragraph in gold lettering with information on the factory that produced the cigarettes and a health warning. Interior underside of the top lid has manufacturer information in gold lettering. Bottom of the box has the remnants of a blue tax revenue stamp reading "Series of 1910 / Cigarettes."
Bio/Historical NoteEmpty Pall Mall cigarette box. In the early 1900s, tobacco companies produced sports cards, especially baseball cards, as a way of promoting their brands.
