George Weiss World Series pocket watch

DescriptionPocket watch with a gold case, gold loop at the top and a gold crown dial within the loop. Watch face is white with gold letters spelling out "World Champs" in place of numbers. There are small silver-colored dots all around the perimeter of the face. There are two gold hands as well as a smaller gold hand for the seconds at the bottom within a smaller circular area with black lettering. The face also has "Hamilton" and "New York Yankees / 1937" in black lettering. On the back side of the case is "Presented By / Baseball Commissioner / To / George Wiess" in engraved lettering. Back side of the case has a lid that opens on a hinge. On the interior of this lid is "Hamilton Watch Co. / Lancaster, PA" in decorative engraving along with "Wadsworth" and "H166172."
