DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack, right, and Bucky Harris, captured standing together in the dugout, holding a baseball bat before an exhibition game between the Washington Senators and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on August 30, 1952. Mack is dressed in a suit, whereas Harris is dressed in the Washington Senators road uniform. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Old Stand-Bys Two of baseball's old stand-by's, Connie Mack (right); President of the Philadelphia Athletics and Bucky Harris, manager of the Washington Senators, get together in dugout at Yankee Stadium, New York City, Aug. 30, before start of exhibition game between all-time Yankee greats. The exhibition contest preceded a regularly-scheduled game between the Yanks and Senators." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on August 30, 1952.
