A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Brooksbille, Fla.: Connie Mack, the grand old man of baseball, is still a hero, even to 'mermaids.' The aquatic lovelies are Marian Tolar (left) and Teresa Myers who quit their water show routines when they found Connie on the spot at Weekiwachee Springs, just so they could get his autograph.2/27/49." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on February 27, 1949.
