DescriptionA black-and-white head and shoulders photograph of Connie Mack captured seated at a stadium dressed in suit. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Connie Mack Crosses Last Base This picture of Connie Mack, baseball's grand old man, who died Feb. 8 at the age of 93 was made in 1955 in Kansas City where he watched his old Athletics play. Despite his advanced age, he looked hearty and alert and kept up his interest in the game to the end." Mack devoted his life and career to his beloved sport of baseball. Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken in approximately 1955.
