DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax (right) with Dodgers executive Walter O'Malley. O'Malley is looking directly into the camera, and Koufax is admiring the taxidermied lion in O'Malley's office. The caption at the bottom of the photograph reads, "Los Angeles: Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax (R) admires trophy in office of Walter O'Malley at Dodger Stadium 11/4 as the 29-year-old left-hander stopped by the stadium to receive congratulations from O'Malley after he was notified that he was the recipient of the 1965 Cy Young Award as baseball's best pitcher. Koufax also won the award in 1963. O'Malley picked up his trophy on an African safari." Another caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "Sandy Koufax admires trophy in Walter O'Malley's office at Dodger Stadium. Sandy got together with his boss after he was voted his second Cy Young award."
