The caption on the side of the photograph reads, "10/11/65 - Dodger Stadium: After pitching a 4-hit shutout in the World Series, striking out ten Minnesota batters, hitting a single that scored a Dodger run and leading his team to a one game lead on the Twins, Sandy Koufax wears a sublime smile in the clubhouse. 10/11." Another caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "That Satisfied Feeling - Bewhiskered, tired but happy, Sandy Koufax smiles wistfully in clubhouse after the game." According to the captions, this photograph was taken on October 11, 1965.
