DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Lefty Grove captured warming up on the sidelines of a baseball field. Grove is balancing on his right foot as his left foot hangs in the air behind him. He is looking over his left shoulder with a slight smile on his face. His left arm is extended out in front of him, crossing his body. Grove is dressed in a Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. An unidentified baseball player sitting on the wall of the unidentified stadium is visible in the background. Several unidentified gentlemen are visible in the stands in the background. Based on Grove's uniform and his time with the Athletics, this photograph was taken between 1931 and 1933.
