DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured at bat. Ott has completed his swing and is now holding a baseball bat on the right side of his body. Ott's feet are sliding in the dirt as he looks up to follow a baseball he has just hit. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1929.
