DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured up at bat. Ott has completed his swing and the bat is now on the right side of his body. His torso is turned towards the right. He is looking straight ahead towards the pitcher's mound with a serious expression. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. An unidentified catcher's glove is visible in the background. The Polo Grounds is in the background and a few fans are seated. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was taken between 1933 and 1936.
