DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured practicing his swing at the the Polo Grounds in New York, NY. Ott is looking up following the ball that he has hit as he holds a baseball bat on the right side of his body. His feet are twisting on the ground. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. Several other Giants players are on the field in the background. Based on Ott's time with the Giants, his uniform, and a stamp on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was probably taken in 1937.
