DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulder, photograph of Charlie Gehringer captured with a smile on his face as he is looking out of the corner of his eyes. Gehringer is dressed in the Detroit Tigers uniform, but it is unclear whether it is a home or road uniform. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Charley Gehringer, shortstop, as he appeared in spring training camp here with the Detroit Tigers." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on March 11, 1939.
