DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Joe Medwick captured at bat, the number 77 visible on the back of his uniform. Medwick has completed his swing and is now holding the bat over his left shoulder. Medwick has his head turned up and is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. An unidentified catcher is in the background. Ebbets Field is also in the background and is filled with numerous fans. Based on Medwick's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
