DescriptionBeige shirt with brown pinstripes, brown collar and a brown "Cubs" patch on the proper left front chest. "Chicago" is spelled out in white lettering vertically down the front brown placket along with four brown buttons. "Kling" is sewn onto the tag at the interior back of the neck. There are button holes on the sleeve cuffs. There is a manufacturer tag on the interior back of the collar.
Bio/Historical NoteFor the first time in franchise history, the Chicago Cubs wore jerseys bearing their team nickname. The Cubs issued this 1909 road jersey to their star catcher, Johnny Kling, though he ultimately chose not to play that season in order to pursue a career in billiards.
