Dolph Camilli World Series first baseman's mitt

DescriptionBrown leather first baseman's mitt with metal grommets and leather laces lining the outer perimeter edge and the side of the thumb stall. Leather laces connect the thumb stall to the main stall. Back side has a small opening above the leather wrist strap which fastens with a metal buckle. Also on the back side is a knotted leather lace in the middle portion of the glove on the side with the metal buckle.

Bio/Historical NoteFirst baseman's mitt used by Dolph Camilli of the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 1941 World Series from October 1st through October 6th. The New York Yankees defeated the Dodgers, 4-1.
