Letter from Roxey Roach to Nelle Stewart

DescriptionAn 8-page letter with envelope (not shown) written by Roxey Roach to Nelle Stewart, October 20, 1910. It's handwritten on 3 pages which are folded in half. He writes to tell her that he met up with Jack and Mr. Reed, he played ball for him when he first started. They met at the game and went for dinner. He writes that they gave the Giants a "good frothing yesterday," (this refers to the NY Yankees vs NY Giants Runner-Up Bowl games played when neither team made it to the World Series). He says it is raining now so today's game will be postponed. He should be in Frostburg on Sunday and has bought six more songs for them to play. He tells her of his love for her and will see her Sunday. He signs it "With Love and Kisses, Wilbur," his given name.
