Ron Hansen Unassisted Triple Play glove

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall. There is a piece of leather connected by leather laces between the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. The tops of the middle finger, ring finger and pinky stalls are connected by a leather lace. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Laces line the palm side of the thumb stall, pinky stall and across the heel. Stamps on the palm side include "Frank Rolling Personal Model / 42-207 / Spalding / E-Z Flex." Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened with a knotted leather lace. "Wrist Lock" is stamped to the right of the knotted lace and there is an area where a manufacturers label used to have been. "100% Nylon Stitched" is stamped on the back side of the thumb. There is patent information stamped on the back side of the webbing.
Bio/Historical NoteWhen Senators shortstop Ron Hansen used this glove to turn his unassisted triple play on July 30, 1968, it marked the first time the feat had occurred in a major league game in over 41 years.
