Tom Seaver 19 Strikeout glove

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and a piece of leather between the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. Tops of the finger stalls are connected by a leather lace. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Palm side has several stamps, including "42-203 / Spalding / E-Z Flex / Tom Seaver Personal Model." Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened with a knotted leather lace. There is a darkened "Spalding" manufacturer label on the wrist strap. Patent information and "100% Nylon Stitched" is stamped on the back side of the thumb stall.
Bio/Historical NoteOn April 22, 1970, Mets pitcher Tom Seaver wore this glove on his left hand and wore out Padres batters with his right, striking out 19 and posting a record 10 straight Ks to end the game.
