Dick Green World Series glove

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and a piece of leather connecting the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. Leather laces connect the tips of the finger stalls. Leather laces line the top edge of the webbing as well as the palm side pinky stall, palm side thumb stall and palm side heel. Palm of the glove has several stamps, including "Heart of Hide / For the Professional / Deep Well Pocket / Rawlings / XPG 6-P." Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls. There is a red manufacturer label across the wrist strap along with a darkened piece of leather attached by laces at the lower base of the forefinger stall. "Edge-U-Cated Heel" with patent information is stamped into the back side of the thumb stall.
Bio/Historical NoteIn the 1974 World Series, Oakland A's second baseman Dick Green went 0-for-13 at the plate but used this glove to turn six double plays, including a record-tying three twin-killings in Game 3. Green received the Babe Ruth Award as the Series MVP. The Athletics defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.
