DescriptionA black-and-white full-length photograph of Grover Cleveland Alexander in his follow through position. Facing the camera, Alexander wears a Philadelphia Phillies uniform. Standing on his left leg, Alexander lifts his bent right leg off the ground. Rotating his upper body to his left, Alexander extends his right arm across his body chest height, while holding his gloved left hand down by his side. He looks forward to a point in the distance and to the left of the camera. Taken on the field, an occupied stadium and other players are visible in the background. Based on the specific design of the uniform worn by Alexander, this image was captured in 1911 or 1912. The handwriting is original to the negative.
