Charles and Nan Comiskey and Harry Pulliam photograph
Dateundated
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Charles Comiskey, his wife Nan, and Harry Pulliam sitting in the first stadium row at South Side Park. Comiskey, center, shown from the chest up, sits in the grandstand. Wearing a three piece suit, bow tie, and fedora, Comiskey turns his head to his right, to look at a point in the distance and to the left of the camera. Comiskey sits behind a wooden wall that separates himself from the field. Over this half-wall hangs Comiskey's coat. To the right of Comiskey is his wife Nan. Shown from the chest up, she wears a fur scarf and a hat with a veil. Depicted in 3/4 profile, with her body angled to her right, Nan turns her head to her left, to look forward towards the camera. To the left of Comiskey is Harry Pulliam. Shown from the chest up as well, Pulliam wears a suit, tie, and bowler hat. Pulliam, facing the camera, turns his head to his left, directing his gaze to Comiskey. Captured during a game, this group sits at the front of an occupied stadium. A crowd of fans can be seen in the background. Along the bottom of the photograph, handwritten in blue ink, is the phrase, "CHARLES A Comiskey at South Side Park." This photograph is undated.
