Ott is captured in profile and has a straight face as he looks ahead. Herman is looking up and is grabbing the railing with his right hand. Dickey is slightly hunched down and is holding the railing with both hands while looking up. He appears to be mid sentence. Dickey's baseball mitt is hanging from his left hand. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants road uniform, Herman is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers road uniform and Dickey is dressed in a New York Yankees home uniform. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "L-R: Ott, B. Herman, B. Dickey." Based on Ott, Herman, and Dickey's uniforms and their time with their respective teams, this photograph was taken in approximately 1942.
