Bob Boone catcher's mitt

DescriptionLight brown leather left-handed catcher's mitt with a "Mizuno" patch and the number "8" handwritten on the wrist strap and along the pinky finger stall on the back side of the glove. There is also a "Lite-Flex, Japan" stamp on the thumb stall. The glove is held together by laces and grommets along the edging. The thumb stall and finger stalls are connected with two pieces of leather connected with laces as webbing. The glove has a hole on the palm side near the webbing.

Bio/Historical NoteGlove worn by Bob Boone of the California Angels on September 16, 1987 against the Kansas City Royals when he broke Al Lopez' record for most games caught with 1,919.
