DescriptionGold Baltimore Orioles 1983 World Series championship ring given to Commissioner Bowie Kuhn. The ring has a rounded square face that features "Orioles" written in gold surrounded by 18 diamonds. "1983 World Champions" wraps around the stones. One arm has "World Series 1983" above the Orioles logo. The other arm has "Kuhn" above a depiction of the World Series trophy.
Bio/Historical NoteThe Baltimore Orioles defeated the Philadelphia Phillies four games to one to win the 1983 World Series. Bowie Kuhn served as Major League Baseball's fifth commissioner from 1969 to 1984, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008.
