DescriptionSteel shovel with a baseball bat as a handle. The bat is natural wood with a black branded "Louisville Slugger" trademark logo at the center and "A Ball Park For The Ages / TC (Twins logo) / Groundbreaking / August 30, 2007" branded onto the end of the barrel.
Bio/Historical NoteCommemorative shovel from the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Minnesota Twins' new ballpark, Target Field, on August 30, 2007. This new park gave hometown fans their first open-air venue since Metropolitan Stadium closed in 1981. Target Field officially opened on April 12, 2010.
