There is a "Jeter" hologram in the center of the tongue on both shoes along with "Jordan" in rubber on lower heel areas. There are manufacturer tags on the underside of the tongues of each shoe. Bottom soles are silver and black plastic with logos and metal spikes. Both shoes have MLB Authentication hologram stickers on the outer sides of each shoe beneath the silver piping.
Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by Derek Jeter on September 16, 2008 when he surpassed Lou Gehrig's record for career hits at Yankee Stadium. His 1,270 hits were the most by any single player at Yankee Stadium, beating Gehrig to the record in 81 fewer games. This record will never be broken as Yankee Stadium closed following the 2008 season and the new stadium opened in 2009.
