DescriptionRed nylon and leather shoes, size 14, with red laces and white manufacturer logos on both the inner and outer sides along with "Flywire" in small white lettering above. Right shoe has rubber toe reinforcement. Tongues are red with "Nike" in white lettering at the top. The heels of each shoe have "Air Clipper" embroidered vertically and "Nike" in white rubber below. The interiors of the shoes are red and have a manufacturer sizing stamp on the outer heel of the interior with "17" handwritten on them in faded black ink. There are nine metal spikes on each red and white sole, each engraved with a manufacturer logo and "Max Air" printed in white along the center. Each heel has an MLB Authentication hologram sticker.
Bio/Historical NoteSpikes worn by pitcher Nathan Eovaldi during the 2018 World Series. Acquired during the season, Eovaldi posted a 1.61 ERA in the Postseason in a split role between the rotation (two starts) and the bullpen (four relief appearances). The expected Game 4 starter, Eovaldi pitched 6.0 innings in relief during the historically long Game 3, going 5.0 scoreless frames before allowing Max Muncy's walk-off homer in the 18th inning. He had already pitched perfect innings of relief in Games 1 and 2.
