DescriptionBlack and white leather high-top shoes, size 15, with black laces and perforated plastic mesh paneling on both the inner and outer sides. Tongues also have perforated mesh paneling with a white embroidered logo at the top. Interior undersides of the tongues have "The Best of Both Worlds" embroidered in script lettering. Ankle straps adjust with hook-and-loop fasteners on both the inner and outer ankles and have "CC52" embroidered in white in the center. Left shoe has additional rubber toe reinforcement. "52" is embroidered in white on the outer heel. Heels have "Nike Air" embroidered in white with a logo. Interior inner sides have a manufacturer label. Insoles are black with "CC52" in white lettering. Bottom soles are black and gray with nine metal spikes.
Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia on April 16, 2009, the Yankees home opener at their new Yankee Stadium. The Yankees lost the game to the Cleveland Indians, 10-2.
