DescriptionBatting gloves with white textured palms and white elastic wrist straps. Back sides of the middle, ring and pinky stalls are white. Half of the back sides of the forefinger stalls, extending down to the wrist strap and up into the thumb stalls, are red ribbed nylon with a white manufacturer logo near the thumb stall base. Back sides of the wrist straps are white vinyl with a hook-and-loop closure. Handwritten on the back sides of the wrist straps are "ML" in black ink with a cross.
Bio/Historical NoteBatting gloves worn at the Beijing Olympics by Matt LaPorta, whose second-inning solo home run in the 2008 bronze-medal game provided Team U.S.A. their first run in an 8-4 victory over Japan.
