Matt Holliday Pinch-Hit Home Run helmet

Date2016 September 30
DescriptionRed plastic batting helmet, size 7 3/4, with a proper left ear protector. There is a blue and white team logo stuck on the front with an MLB logo and white and blue "7" decal on the back. There are six ventilation holes at the top crown. Interior of the helmet has a black coating with black padding around the ear guard, perimeter sweatband, rear center and top crown. Stickers on the interior include "7 3/4" and a warning sticker regarding injury. Embroidered patches on the interior sweatband include "Rawlings" and "Authentic On Field Equipment" with an MLB logo. "7 3/4" is also written in white marker on the interior of the black coating at the top crown.
Bio/Historical NoteHelmet worn by outfielder Matt Holliday on September 30, 2016 when he hit an emotional pinch-hit home run in his return from the disabled list with a recent surgery on his right thumb. The home run was Holliday's first pinch-hit home run of his career. The Cardinals will not be exercising his 2017 club option so it is unlikely that he will return to them for next season.
