DescriptionGray flannel zippered shirt, size 42, with "Baltimore / 6" in orange and black appliques on the front chest. There is black piping around the collar and down the front placket. Proper left sleeve has a team logo patch. Proper left front shirttail has a blue "Spalding" manufacturer label. Interior neck has a gray flannel strip with "61 6 42" in embroidered lettering. Back of the shirt has "6" in orange appliques.
Bio/Historical NoteBaltimore Orioles road shirt worn by outfielder Whitey Herzog in 1961. Herzog played for the Orioles for two years as part of his seven year stint as a major league baseball player. He is better known for his managerial career throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Herzog was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veteran's Committee in 2010.
