DescriptionBlack and white leather shoes, size 10 1/2, with black laces and black manufacturer logos on both the inner and outer sides. "36" is stamped at the base of the laces. Tongues are covered in black mesh with a triangular design and have "JIK" in white lettering near the tops. Interior undersides of the tongues have manufacturer labels. Ankle straps have "Beltran" in white lettering across the front and secure on the inner sides of the shoes with hook-and-loop fasteners. Heels have a design towards the bottom with MLB Authentication hologram stickers. Bottom soles are black plastic with nine metal spikes and a white manufacturer logo in the center.
Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by Carlos Beltran of the New York Yankees on May 15, 2016 when he recorded his 400th career home run in the 6th inning against the Chicago White Sox at Yankee Stadium. With the homer, his eighth of this season, Beltran became the 54th player in baseball history to hit 400 or more homers and just the fifth player all-time to have 400 homers and 300 steals. He also joined Mickey Mantle, Eddy Murray, and Chipper Jones as the only switch-hitters with 400 or more homers. Beltran was the third Puerto Rican born player to hit 400 home runs.
