DescriptionRectangular wooden plaque, vertically oriented, with a gold-colored metal placard attached to the front. At the top center is a raised circular seal featuring laurel leaves along the lower edge, "The Harvard Foundation / For Intercultural and Race Relations" in raised lettering at the top, "To Enhance The Quality of Our Common Life" in raised lettering along the lower portion of a center depiction of three open books above five multi-colored spheres. Below this seal is "The Harvard Foundation / of Harvard University / presents this special commendation to / Henry L. 'Hank' Aaron / Baseball Legend / to mark the occasion of his visit to Harvard University / and to recognize his notable contributions to / American Sports and Intercultural Relations / Given at Cambridge, Massachusetts / in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred ninety-five / and of Harvard College / the three hundred and fifty-ninth" engraved in black lettering. There are three facsimile signatures, names and titles at the bottom. Back side of the plaque has a manufacturer sticker at the lower center along with two areas to hang the plaque either vertically or horizontally.
