Joe Adcock negative
Datebetween 1953 and 1956
DescriptionTwo black-and-white negatives of Joe Adcock dressed in a Milwaukee Braves uniform posed in a batting stance. Both of his hands are holding the grip of a bat and he is looking to the right of the camera (not shown). The primary logo patch is clearly visible with his left arm twisted towards the viewer. The top part of the number, "9" is showing above his arm. There is another player standing behind him holding a baseball bat with the number "-8" on the back of jersey [potentially outfielder Earl Hersh or coach Johnny Cooney] and another person in a white shirt leaning alongside the batter's practice cage. There is another unidentified person in a uniform standing in the outfield. The outfield wall has various advertisements and there are two outfield floodlights with poles on either side of Adcock. Based on Joe Adcock's time with the Milwaukee Braves and the uniform style [between 1953 and 1956, the home and road uniforms were exactly the same], these images were taken between 1953 and 1956.
