Joe Albanese negative
Date1958
DescriptionTwo black-and-white negatives of Joe Albanese dressed in a Washington Senators home uniform posing in a throwing stance while standing in the grass foul zone by the first base line. His legs are roughly shoulder width apart and his torso is bent forward to his right with his right arm extended in front of him, as if he has just thrown a baseball and is finishing his follow through. His left hand is holding a glove curled up against his hip. Albanese's body is twisted toward the left but his face is looking just beyond the camera (not shown). In the background, you can see the rest of the outfield, the outfield wall, stadium seating, and the outfield floodlights on a pole to the right of Albanese. The sky is cloudy and grey. Based on Joe Albanese's time with the Washington Senators and the uniform style, these images were taken in 1958.
