DescriptionA black-and-white 3/4 photograph of Bob Feller seated alongside Hank Greenberg, general manager of the Cleveland Indians. Feller, wearing a suit and tie, rests his right hand on the desk in front of him while in his left hand he holds a piece of paper. Feller's body is angled away from the camera, facing the glass globe filled with baseballs that sits on the desk before him. Feller, slightly smiling, gazes at this object. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in purple ink, is a caption that reads, "CL . . . . . .. . . NEW YORK BUREAU SEE DIAMOND-STUDDED FUTURE CLEVELAND" GAZING INTO THE BASEBALL-JAMMED "CRYSTAL BALL," BOB FELLER (LEFT), ONE OF THE GREAT ALL-TIME PITCHING GREATS, AND CLEVELAND INDIAN GENERAL MANAGER HANK GREENBERG DO SOME SOOTHSAYING AFTER FELLER HAD SIGNED HIS 13TH CONTRACT WITH THE INDIANS. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, HE WILL PROBABLY RECEIVE $50,000 FOR THE SEASON, MAKING HIM ONCE AGAIN THE HIGHEST-PAID HURLER IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE. 1/30/51."
