DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Nellie Fox captured holding a cigar in his right hand and standing in front of a display case with his baseball awards and uniforms. The caption on the front of the photograph (not shown) states, "Dec. 10- Sold to Houston - - Nellie Fox, Chicago White Sox infielder, poses in his Chambersburg, Pa. home after he learned of being sold to the Houston Colts. Fox said he had no regrets of being sold to the Colts, in fact he was relieved to know where he was going." Based on the caption, this photograph was taken in December 1963.
