DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulders photograph of Nellie Fox. Fox is looking slightly to the side and has a straight face. He is dressed in a Chicago White Sox home uniform. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Feb. 12...Chicago White Sox today signed two of their key players, second baseman Nellie Fox for a club record salary of more than $40,000, and pitcher Billy Pierce for an approximate $35,000." Based on a date stamped on the back (also not shown) and Fox's time with the White Sox, this photograph was taken in 1958.
