DescriptionA half-length black-and-white portrait photograph of Roger Bresnahan. Bresnahan, shown from the waist up, wears a suit and tie. Looking forward, Bresnahan establishes eye contact with the camera. Visible in the background is the suit jacket of the man standing behind Bresnahan, indicating that this portrait was extracted from a larger group photograph. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in black ink, is a caption that reads, "ROGER BRESNAHAN (ABOVE), 64, ONCE ONE OF THE GREATEST CATCHERS IN BASEBALL AND NAMED TO BASEBALL'S HALL OF FAME DREAM TEAM, DIED DEC. 4 AT HIS HOME IN TOLEDO, OHIO. (EDS; THIS IS A 1943 FILE PICTURE) 12-4-44." Stamped on the reverse (not shown), in red ink, is the phrase, "RECEIVED DEC 5 - 1944."
